Today I finally got to see my new doctor, or at least his fill-in; it was a good visit. I got some good news which was that my kidneys were not the lower back pain that we had thought, the lower back pain is just pulled and stressed muscles which need to heal. This had us really worried due to how the onset came on, thankfully it isn’t kidney related and it only presented itself like so. Now the bad news is that I cannot get on my bike until my doctor calls to say I can or can’t ride for a while. The doctor feels that I have a stress fracture in my foot and if it is then I won’t be able to ride for a few weeks or months. If by an awesome miracle it isn’t a stress fracture then I can get back on my bike right away and get to pedaling again; we’re hoping for it to not be a stress fracture.
This last month I had taken some slow down time to allow ample time for whatever was wrong with my foot to heal, so far it hasn’t changed and I’ve been taking it easy and doing a lot of the standard recovery treatments already however still I’m in the same boat. We have our fingers crossed that the x-rays come back in a good positive way.
On another note, my wife and I are working on some really cool health goals. I’ve decided that I want to lose 30 pounds over the next 3 months. Currently, I’m 160.4 pounds as of today, my goal is to get to around 130-135 and of course, all be muscle. The goal for myself to have that weight is so I can have more items in my pack when taking long bike rides so we will be working out in our gym a lot more often and working more on our food intake. We will keep everyone up to date here as we work towards our goals.
