Christmas has come and gone and now it’s time to prepare for the New Year, 2019; are you ready? We’re ready and we’ve been very excited about starting up our plans. Over the last few months, we’ve been talking about the many ideas that we have in preparation for the New Year and every one of the goals starts on January 1st.
We hope that your Xmas was off the chain, ours was a beautiful time with family and friends. Our dog got a lot of presents, she is so spoiled. We got our new GoPro for Xmas and we will be taking a little time during our days to learn how to use it properly as we start filming our bike rides, hikes, and snowboarding trips. We also are in the process of picking out a drone to follow us during our fun outings by bike, we hope that between the GoPro and a Drone that we can capture enough of the epicness to share on our YouTube Channel. 2019 we will be working toward the year 1 in our series of exploring Arizona by Bike. We will be filming our bikepacking adventures as we visit every city in Arizona and then do our best to learn how to edit the film to make better videos. We will be exploring all kinds of things and places like campgrounds, trails to hike, awesome bike routes; just finding everything that we can explore in our home state while working towards my personal goal of riding 25,000 miles in 2019 by bike.
When January 1st, 2019 gets here, this will be day one of riding my bike a minimal of 481 miles a week or 2084 miles a month. I plan to ride outside as well as indoors depending on the weather and daily plans. We may be able to stream on our Twitch Channel one day a week while at the same time we will be releasing our Podcast every Thursday along with working on our videos for our YouTube Channel.
Today I will be working on tomorrows Podcast while I start planning routes for 2019, we did find a cool place yesterday for riding as well as hiking which is called “Dreamy Draw“.
Over the next few days, we will be educating ourselves even more on how to use our GoPro best while working on other muscles groups and gym related exercises to stay loosened up for what is to come. As for the Drone, we haven’t decided on which to get yet as we have several in mind. We don’t want a super high-end drone since we’ve never used one before so that we don’t just crash it on the very first day. If you have any feedback or pointers when it comes to starting out with a good drone or the best to start with we’d love to hear it in the comments below. A few more goals left to reach in 2019 before we grab our Surly Pugsleys in which will be our touring bikes.
Whelp enough, for now, we’re just very excited; we welcome any tips on using a GoPro, a Drone, Bikepacking etc; drop a comment below. Have an epic adventure today and thanks for the support.
