41 miles in on the riding for charity so far

Good morning, afternoon, or goodnight; you’ve made it to our new article so thank you for coming by to be a part of our lives. So much took place yesterday that we were brain dead tired all day by the time lunch hit.

Touching base on Yesterday

After getting the article done yesterday morning and enjoying our coffee, Annika headed off to her office and I started getting things done with clients and around the house. Lilith had her breakfast and once again Marley didn’t eat, typically she won’t eat until lunch time.

Once client work was taken care of I got the house picked up and prepared to do my work out. I was debating how far I was going to ride my bike being that it was the first day of June and that was the start of the Charity cycling. After a bit of debating this, I jumped onto our Peloton bike and started a quick morning workout.

Back to Back Peloton Bike rides

I put my Peloton Cycling shoes on and clipped into the Peloton bike, it was time to get some pedaling in. When I began to pedal I turned on the game that I play on my phone and within a few minutes I noticed that I was still pedaling after the Peloton bike ride was over, I decided what the heck I’ll do another one.

As you can see by the pictures above that I did that many times. 7 bike rides on the Peloton bike back to back and afterward I done a quick weight training shoulder and arms workout. When I finished with the Peloton workouts I immediately got on my road bike and went for a quick bike ride outside.

A fun bike ride through Old Town Scottsdale

I wasn’t sure where I wanted to ride my bike to and my legs were already starting to burn. Within seconds I was doing between 25-27mph going down 68th street towards Tempe Lake, I noticed that like on the Peloton bike I hadn’t stopped pedaling at all by the time I had reached Curry Road to do the climb over to Mill. I felt as if I had nonstop power to continue riding. Once I reached Mill Avenue I headed toward Preist (64th) and took it up to Oak as I did a slower pace to give my legs a few minutes of rest.

By the time I got to Oak, I still wasn’t sure where I was going so I decided to take Oak to 57th and then up to Lafayette and from there headed back over into Old Town Scottsdale. Now in total on the Peloton bike, I had ridden already 5.5 miles before I left our house, by the time I got into Old Town I had ridden another almost 16 miles.

Annika called to check in on me while I had stopped to take some pictures and after that, I decided to head back home to start up our Twitch stream. 41 miles of riding went towards the charity for the day and that made me smile. Time to stream and tend to Marley and Lilith.

Adventures of Marley and Lilith

Lilith was extremely sweet yesterday for almost all of the day. When it got closer to 3pm she decided it was time to check out electrical cables, ethernet cables and why not just bounce off of the blinds. It’s as if she got a wild hair up her butt and figured it was time to go nuts. I said, whatever she is having fun. Once again Lilith is doing awesome and she is still trying to figure life out.

Marley, however, isn’t doing so hot. It’s been 11 days of her hardly touching food. We’ve been getting hydration injections and Hyper Berrick oxygen treatment on top of all of her medications and nothing is working any longer. She just lays down in one spot all day as we try constantly to get her to cheer up, play, eat, or just do anything. Her vet said that there is no longer any options other than keeping her happy. Yesterday we went a bought Marley a steak and some mashed potatoes which is a meal that she used to go crazy for. We cooked it up and Marley just laid in her spot with no reaction.

A few minutes ago I gave Marley her morning medications and Annika is laying on the floor with her. Today we may just spend the day with her. We will continue to keep everyone posted on how she is doing, her vet has been awesome by keeping in touch by phone and more to make sure she is okay.

Twitch Stream Playing Uprising in Overwatch Arcade

Yesterdays Twitch Stream was short but certainly fun. I teamed up with an Overwatch friend to try an arcade game that I’d not played before, Uprising.

It turns out that Uprising is now one of my favorite Arcade games within Overwatch. It was so much fun that we did several rounds of it before I had to stop stream and pc gaming for a bit to tend to Marley. I look forward to more gameplay with that arcade game.

Today’s Plan

Today we’re gonna do a little bit of indoor working out on our Peloton bike. We do have some errands to run such as grocery shopping and restocking household stuff and I’m sure maybe do the laundry too. Besides all of the errands, I believe Annika and I will spend most of the day with our munchkins.
