We lost a large piece of us yesterday

Today’s article will be kept simple and short. Yesterday we took Marley to the vet and sadly we left with a collar and her blanket. On May 4th, 2010 this little bundle of happiness was born and not too much longer afterward she entered our life. From the day Marley became a part of our lives all the way up until this very moment, she has brought us joy.

For the last year, Marley has been suffering from CKD (Cronic Kidney Disease). We’ve been through every available treatment with her all the way up until yesterday morning with the last fluid injection that Annika gave her. Over the last 11 days of her life she couldn’t hardly eat and yesterday she was continuously getting sick and had run out of the ability to walk around on her own. We took her to her vet and got the news, this broke our hearts that we knew we would not be leaving with Marley. She has been our rock in life and every time we take an adventure on our bikes from this point own we will be carrying her ashes with us so that she may be there too.

Marley will be forever remembered for every minute that we had the honor to have her in our lives. She will be missed, Marley died on June 2nd, 2019 at approximately 6:15pm MST.

Many thanks to all of the people who have checked in on her over the last several months and many thanks to our families and friends for the support.

  1. I am so very very sorry my friends. The loss of an innocent family member is really the worst and my thoughts are with you during this extremely difficult time.

  2. I’m so sorry to hear your sad news. I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a beloved pet. I take comfort from believing that they always walk beside us, and that ‘love never dies’. Bless you both and beloved Marley.

  3. I’m sorry for your loss, for the both of you. It was painful reading the posts about how sick your pooch was. It was time, brother. I hope you find peace in this sucky situation.

  4. Charlee: “We’re very sorry to hear that Marley had to go away.”
Chaplin: “Run free over the Rainbow Bridge, Marley, and be sure to stop and see Dennis and get a special treat from Tucker’s Everlasting Rainbow Bridge Buffet.”
Charlee: “We send lots of purrs at this difficult time.”
Lulu: “And I send lots of tail wags, too!”

  5. I know I’m a little late but so sorry to hear about Marley. The only consolation is you no longer have to see Marley struggling I suppose but still very sad 🙁
