The Munchkins are helping us find ourselves again

Happy Saturday everyone and what an epic Friday we just had. We’ve just gotten up and we actually got some sleep last night. Yesterday was filled with quality time spent with our munchkins, a bit of Overwatch game time and a small amount of time watching Lucifer while tending to our home. Let’s start by going over the time spent with Lilith and Pugsley.

Adventure’s of our Little Munchkins (Our Furry Critters)

After Annika headed out to her work yesterday, I took Pugsley outside for a walk in the nighttime air. Now Pugsley’s leash and harness fall right off of him so I have been spending some time teaching him to follow me with hand signals and verbal commands.

After our walk outside in the night, we went back to get things done in our home. While I got some work done Pugsley and Lilith would play together and then as they wore themselves out they’d cuddle together or lay down in the same areas together for a nap.

Throughout the day at random times, I’d grab Pugsley and head out the door with a backpack carrying some water and his bowl. These outings went no further than just walking around our complex as he followed me without a leash of any kind, he stayed right on my heels every time. So many neighbors that I didn’t even know we had come up to meet him, he got so much loving from everyone. When we were near any sidewalk that had the sun on it I’d either have Pugsley follow me through the grass or pick him up so his feet didn’t get too warm. We plan on getting him some shoes soon to protect his feet from hot surfaces when we’re hiking and more.

Between walking him outside and the playtime with Lilith it was a busy day for him and Lilith. Pugsley even went outside for all of his potty time needs other than one small accident. He would go to the door every time to let me know he wanted to go outside.

Once Annika came home I had Pugsley packed up with a backpack again for a road trip in the car. We took Pugsley to PetSmart to pick out his own crate and to find a harness that actually fits him. We were debating on returning the harness in the picture as it is too big, however, he will need it in the near future. During Pugsley’s visit to PetSmart, almost every customer came running to meet him, it was nuts. Pugsley got attention on every corner we turned. People were shocked to see him behave so well and how at his age that he would follow me on my every command even in a busy place.

We made it back from PetSmart and then it was Annika’s time to play with Pugsley and Lilith. We had some epic family time with the munchkins as we played outside and inside up until dinner and some tv time before bed. When it reached bedtime we all passed out. I woke with Pugsley still in the same spot by my feet and Lilith was out cold beside of Annika and under the covers; it was so cute. What a fun day with those two, hopefully by the beginning of the week we will be able to do some indoor and outside cycling now that they both have crates.

Adventure Cycling / Zwift / RGT Cycling / Peloton / Fitness

Pugsley is a bit curious and scared of the Peloton and I know once he hears my tire spin on the Wahoo Kickr during Zwift or RGT Cycling rides, he may freak out. This is why we wanted crates for both Lilith and Pugsley. We don’t want their curiosity to get them hurt while we’re pedaling and not watching their every move. Over the next few days, we are working with Pugsley and Lilith to teach them about their crates. We want them to know that the crates are not a form of punishment and so they are comfortable inside of them when we start on our indoor cycling and working out indoors.

Monday is our tentative start time to get back on the indoor cycling, every day will be a work in progress. We can’t wait to be riding on our bikes however making sure they are able to relax is important to us as well. I do need to get my tire fixed up and maybe clean the bikes if I can get away from the munchkins long enough to do so without them freaking out, haha. 🙂

Yesterday since I couldn’t mess with our bikes I did attempt to do some PC Gaming on Overwatch while they were napping.

PC Gaming and our Twitch Channel

Two loot boxes and a lot of horrible teams on Overwatch, the PC Gaming on the weekends is horrible. Finding good people is like digging through a huge pile of poop in hopes of finding a golden fairly carrying a pot of gold that had a family of Leprechauns living in it. Finding Even halfway respectful or nice people to play with on Overwatch on the weekend is a very rare occurrence. The weekends are when all of the assholes shine like a huge diamond field. The upside is even during all of the horrible matches I did get 2 loot boxes and I didn’t bother streaming it on our Twitch Channel. As I mentioned yesterday about our Twitch Channel, I believe Twitch has finally just shit on their users way too many times. We may stream from time to time however it is not an important thing for us nor has it ever been. Life happens outside, not glued to a chair watching people play games.

Today’s Adventure and/or Plan

The goal today is to focus on more training for Pugsley and to try and do more around our house so the munchkins get used to more activity around them. We don’t want them to be bothered by noises or a lot of movement as small animals always tend to be. Marley was always nervous when it comes to any bit of noise. If she heard a cricket two miles away fart, she would flip out. Anytime she heard or saw another person or animal she would bark like crazy and shake from being overexcited. Knowing how Marley was with being around noise or other movements with animals or people, we want to do all we can to make sure that Pugsley doesn’t get that way. We want him to be around people and other animals all of the time so that he can be a more active dog. We hope to be able to take him bikepacking, hiking, camping and much more with us.

After work or in between, I may do a little bit of PC Gaming on Overwatch when the munchkins are napping, fingers crossed. Today being a Saturday, we’re just gonna try and make the day as awesome as we can. Time to get things rolling.

You Know the drill

Alright, it’s time for some breakfast and to get the day rocking; many thanks for being a part of our lives. So, it’s that time. Hugs everyone, I’m gonna finish my coffee and get the day rolling. Have a great day and we will return in the morning with more on our adventures.

Important Mentions:

We like to keep in mind daily that not only are we always focusing on riding our bikes long distance but also that many people we know or even do not know are out on the roads and trails traveling. So if you’re out on the road driving a car please be extra cautious and watch for cyclists who may be on the road with you day or night.
