I’ve still got a migraine however we may have figured it out. I may be allergic to Lilith, Annika and I are allergic to most cats; mostly long hair. When we got Lilith is when some odd symptoms started on me, things like almost collapsing on my bike due to migraine and other signs that point to mini-strokes. My nose started bothering me a lot, it didn’t really make sense until last night.
I get migraines instantly when I bend over to pick something up and when I decided to Google that, it turns out it says that it comes from a sinus infection. So I started taking antibiotics last night and am going to for the next 7 days. After some reading, I ran across some interesting ways to drain the sinus cavity to help establish if it was indeed what was causing my migraines; signs point to yes. So for the next week or up until my doctor’s appointment, I will be taking antibiotics and treating my symptoms as if it were a really bad sinus infection. Last night’s ideas did get rid of the migraine for a few hours and currently, it isn’t as bad as it was.
Yesterday started up with minimal amounts of sleep as I started getting my day going while fighting a major migraine. I tried to think positive and fight through the pain as I focused on taking care of just my normal day to day things. Pugsley and I spent a great deal of time working on his leash training and wrestling with Lilith and him.
I tried to play a little bit of Overwatch on PC though my eyes couldn’t take the light and I had a lot to get done, so it was only a few games. My buddy Jeff checked in on me and a few of our neighbors checked in on me as well. I don’t have the strength for cycling or working out at the moment so I’m not going to worry about attempting it until after fighting off this migraine mess.
The Adventure’s of Pugsley and Lilith
Pugsley and Lilith as you can see from the video are pretty happy together. They sleep together, wrestle all the time, Lilith even gives Pugsley a bath while he sleeps.
They’ve grown a lot, we put Pugsley on the weight scale in our bathroom and he was between 12-15 pounds. Lilith has doubled in size however she is still very petite and seems to be fragile though she is crazy and always playing.
The other night, Pugsley and I sit and watched videos and photos of Marley as we pondered how soon we could get some sleep; he was restless and teething. Looking back at old photos and videos on Marley is something I tend to do daily, we miss her very much.
Pugsley is doing very well with his leash training and has had very little accidents in the house, so potty training is pretty solid. We got Lilith a top entry litter box to keep Pugsley from eating kitty cookies, it worked. Now we have to keep Pugsley from eating doggy cookies when neighbors don’t pick up after their dogs outside.
Cycling, Hiking, Running, and Fitness
As for cycling, hiking, etc for now; Annika is able to do her Peloton workout a few times a week. I will be back on Pelton and working out with indoor and outside cycling after these migraines are gone. Until they are gone Century Sundays and Cycling Saturdays are on hold. We’re not gonna risk me falling over or getting hit by a car from a sudden migraine while cycling.
Entertainment and Out on the town
Entertainment wise we’ve been watching Stranger Things and Pugsley and I watch Lucifer at night, we finished all of the seasons of Lucifer last night. We can’t wait for season 5 to release!
I try to focus on some pc gaming each day to try and keep my mind occupied during the day so I don’t go nuts not being on my bike. I still look at Google Maps every day to plan routes that we will ride one day. We may go see the new Spiderman this weekend, depending on how we’re feeling; Annika seems to not be feeling so hot right now either.
Keeping it simple for the next little while until these migraines go away or we’ve gotten to the bottom of what it is coming from and fixed. 2019 has really been a very shitty year. Today I have the normal work to take care of and then depending on how my head is feeling I hope to get a nap since I only got 45 minutes of sleep last night. A little bit of PC Gaming followed by finding a new show or movie to pass out to with Pugsley. We’re working with Pugsley to teach him to fetch and he is getting better each day, Annika got him a new ball yesterday so I may try that with him today.
I guess today’s biggest plan is to make the best of it and enjoy every minute that I can with Annika and our Munchkins.
You Know the Drill
Alright, gang, You know the drill. Already had my coffee and I’m out the door by 3am, we can’t thank you all enough for the support and we look forward to bringing you another day in our nutty life tomorrow. Have an epic adventure day. Also a special note, we’ve updated some of the information below and even added to it.
“You’ve reached the end of today’s story”
We like to keep in mind daily that not only are we always focusing on riding our bikes long distance but also that many people we know or even do not know are out on the roads and trails traveling. So if you’re out on the road driving a car please be extra cautious and watch for cyclists who may be on the road with you day or night.
We are working on a project called #AZBIKEANDHIKE. Currently, we have a Strava Club set up for #AZBIKENHIKE‘s Cycling and Hiking. We’re working on the website as we plan it to be a community for the people in Arizona that love to ride bikes and hike. Our goal is to also share great places to get gear, trails to ride or hike, and just awesome fun places to enjoy the outdoors in Arizona. More details to come as this project progresses, we can say at this time that this site will not rely or have profiles on any social media such as Twitter, Facebook, or other.
