Looking forward and past all of the hard times

Wow, yesterday was an interesting one and a time for thought. After I had posted my article for the day shortly afterward a blogger friend posted an article about stress and how he deals with it, it was enjoyable and helpful.

Recapping yesterday

Stress has been kicking me in the rear for quite some time now and I’m fed up with feeling like that. I know everything keeps gettin gin the way of things I want to do or need to do but that is life and it is going to happen. My migraines are still here and it does look like I do have a very nasty cold, maybe it has just been creeping up on me this whole time and finally caught up. I’ve very congested, sinuses are a mess and my head and all my bones hurt. So there it is, all the things stopping me from most of my normal day to day routines and things that make me happy.

After reading my friends’ post I looked at all of those things that are out of my control and then I looked at all of the good things that were going on during this time that I was too blind to realize. My wife was always trying to lift me up and keep me cheerful, our munchkins were very loveable while at the same time keeping the adventure going, and maybe it was just time for my body and mind to take a break. This cold has given more time to spend with the munchkins and to relax with my wife, that’s awesome/ So yes, screw being negative about it.

Yesterday I got to play the demo of a new game that I have been dying to get, “Kill la Kill – IT (the game)”. That was something very enjoyable for me as I’m a huge fan of Kill la Kill. I also spent some time playing Overwatch with friends as well as when Annika got home she played with me too. Since I was under the weather I was home more to spend more time training Pugsley. Also, Annik and I went out for dinner and came back to a huge mess compliments of Pugsley and Lilith; they had a party when we were gone.

The Adventure’s of Pugsley and Lilith

Pugsley and Lilith had a house party as they took Pugsley pee pad and spread it throughout the house. It looked like a New Year’s Eve party happen when we got back from dinner. These two had wrecked the house and were hiding once we opened the door, it was funny. The funniest part is when we have to act mad ith that tone so they feel like their being punished while we try not to laugh. We cleaned up their mess and they finally came out to say they were sorry and they enjoyed their night with us.

Earlier that day, Pugsley grabbed Lilith by her tail and took off running with her, we had to have a sit-down talk about that one. Lilith is fine and she actually keeps trying to do the same thing to Pugsley, he is just much bigger than her now.

These two are doing great and Pugsley actually did most of his outside time on the leash, he did so well. Now as for Marley’s cabinet. We still can’t get around to working on the cabinet. We can see her remains behind the glass all day and the pictures that we had printed up for the cabinet are still in the envelope. This may take a little bit more time.

Cycling, Hiking, Running, and Fitness

Until my cold or whatever this is has passed I’m not going to be riding outside let alone the fact that it has been as high as 113 degrees outside. Even at 10pm at night it is still 100 degrees, so I think from here on out that the summer months will be our downtime for outside riding and hiking.

As for Peloton, Annika and I both will be back on it and Zwift in a few days as we’re both slowing down a moment to get well as she has a bit of a cold too.

Entertainment and Out on the town

Yesterday dinner was epic as we enjoyed going to Lo Lo’s Chicken and Waffles, it’s one of our favorite places to enjoy biscuits and gravy with potato wedges on the side. We use to go to Lo Lo’s all the time, nowadays we don’t go out to eat very often.

In Movies, Annika and I are going to see Spider-Man: Far from Home tomorrow; we can’t wait to check it out.

In Television, Annika and I finished watching the 3rd Season of Stranger Things which turned out very well. Pugsley and I finished all of the seasons of Lucifer and cannot wait for the next. Last night Pugsley and I found a new show to watch called “In the Dark”.

I very much am enjoying this show!

Today’s Plan/Adventure

Today is a family day. We’re going to take Pugsley swimming again and get together with a bunch of our family and have an awesome dinner together. We do this a few times a month. Speaking of which my family has already booked their motels for their next trip out to visit us as they enjoyed being here with us so much last time that they decided that instead of going on cruises each year that they would come here. Arizona is epic!

You Know the Drill

Alright, gang, You know the drill. I missed my coffee and slept in so we’re heading out the door to get the day started. Have an epic adventure day. Also a special note, we’ve updated some of the information below and even added to it.

“You’ve reached the end of today’s story”

Important Mentions:

We like to keep in mind daily that not only are we always focusing on riding our bikes long distance but also that many people we know or even do not know are out on the roads and trails traveling. So if you’re out on the road driving a car please be extra cautious and watch for cyclists who may be on the road with you day or night.

We are working on a project called #AZBIKEANDHIKE. Currently, we have a Strava Club set up for #AZBIKENHIKE‘s Cycling and Hiking. We’ve decided to merge this project and it’s website into our website since both are about hiking, and riding bikes in Arizona. Now you can see an item in our navigation menu to see more information. More to come as we get to that point.
