So I did do a Yoga class on the Peloton yesterday and honestly, it was fun and relaxing. After the Yoga session, I did a meditation class and some Peloton indoor cycling for a few miles.
Health Update and Recapping yesterday
So yesterday started out with some working out, Yoga, stretching, indoor cycling and then lead to walking in the Mall to play PokemonGo for fun while we did it. Everything went well for a bit until halfway through the walking I started getting that stroke or heart attack feeling again. My head started throbbing while it felt like a hollow block got lodged into my heart. So I went from a hardcore endurance long-distance cyclist to I can’t hardly do a couple hours of standard daily functioning, and to top it off the doctors haven’t figured anything out yet.
The walking was fun and we caught quite a bit of Pokemon while we were out. Strava had an epic failure on us as it recorded us walking for 47 minutes and during that time it didn’t record a distance and when I submitted the activity it posted 42 seconds and 0.04 miles; Strava fails all the time. We manually corrected that and Annika recorded the rest of our walking for us.
The rest of the day, once we got back home, was just chilling on our bed with our animals until the day ended. It was a much-needed rest and IO slept through a good bit of it. After waking from a couple hour nap, I spent the rest of the night without sleep as Pugsley thought it was cool to keep wrestling with my pillow.
The Adventure’s of Pugsley and Lilith
The two munchkins have been rambunctious to say it mildly. The moment these two wake up, my migraine starts; mostly from Lilith as she is the one to get into everything when told not to. It’s like living life in a loop that never changes, I believe they say that’s what hell is. The continuing of breaking the two of them up from wrestling too rough when Lilith starts it every time and when Pugsley has stopped she comes right back to get the last lick. Gotta love her but most of the time it’s the “grrrrrrr stage”.
Pugsley and Lilith are doing great. Pugsley has a great friendly personality and has that “oohh squirrel” vibe going for him. Lilith basically runs the house. The tow of them is wide open at play between naps all day every day.
As for the cabinet for Marley’s remains and Photos, this project I plan to get started on this week.
Cycling, Hiking, Running, and Fitness
I enjoy Yoga and meditation and given how the stress has not and doesn’t look to get better, hopefully, these two things will help. Until the stress goes away and my health clears up, cycling will be a minimal thing for me since I have no choice in the matter. Hopefully, things will get better before the summer ends so that I have the time to get my muscles ready for crossing the state of Arizona in October.
Entertainment and Out on the town
On the entertainment front, we’ve been playing Overwatch as we have the time and I’ve been chilling with Pugsley watching “Jessica Jones” which is so far a fair show.
Today I’ve started working on better tracking my water intake. Better hydration couldn’t hurt anything given how hot it has been getting and it could help with the migraines and sore muscles. Today I’m starting to keep track of every bottle of water that I drink to make sure that I get a little more than the minimum. While also working on better hydration, I’m doing some working out in our gym, a little bit of Yoga and a bit of indoor cycling.
Some work around the house, time with our muchkins for training, some web work and some relaxation, that’s the basic breakdown of today’s plan.
You Know the Drill
Alright, gang, You know the drill. coffee and waffle time. Have an epic adventure day. Also a special note, we’ve updated some of the information below and even added to it.
“You’ve reached the end of today’s story”
We like to keep in mind daily that not only are we always focusing on riding our bikes long distance but also that many people we know or even do not know are out on the roads and trails traveling. So if you’re out on the road driving a car please be extra cautious and watch for cyclists who may be on the road with you day or night.
We are working on a project called #AZBIKEANDHIKE. Currently, we have a Strava Club set up for #AZBIKENHIKE‘s Cycling and Hiking. We’ve decided to merge this project and it’s website into our website since both are about hiking, and riding bikes in Arizona. Now you can see an item in our navigation menu to see more information. More to come as we get to that point.
