Hydration and new changes within our lives

Whelp, I’ve figured a new plan of attack to hopefully solve these migraines whilst we sit and wait for the doctors to pull their heads from their butts and give us some answers. Hydration may be playing into these migraines also. I don’t drink enough water and I’ve never been able to remember to drink liquids at all no matter what I was doing. They say go by the 8×8 rules which means 8 glasses of 8ounces of water per day is what a body needs to stay hydrated; this doesn’t count into the equation for active lifestyles.

During a single bike ride when I’m outside riding, I may ride 30-150 miles and during that bike ride, I may only drink 8 ounces of water. I don’t know why I cannot remember as I’ve been this way as long as I can remember; so I’m working toward getting an app to remind me. According to some reading that I ran across, being dehydrated causes your neck muscles to tighten and push against the back of your skull which causes a form of migraine; this is exactly what I’m experiencing. Now yes I did have a sinus infection and yes sinuses are playing a part in my migraines; also stress. So far the medications the doctor prescribed, the round of antibiotics to help the sinus infection, and the MRI and MRA did nothing to solve this migraine problem; so hydration route it is.

Yesterday I started tracking my water intake. Once payday gets here I’ll grab the water app that monitors my health and activities along with my water intake; it tells me when to drink another water too. During the next few weeks, water will be my only liquid so that means no coffee, soda, or juice. Hopefully, this helps the situation however if it doesn’t, at least I know my body is getting properly hydrated.

Aside from Hydration and my Migraines

I did get to ride on the Peloton bike this morning, a total of 12.4 miles which is small mileage but it is a start. Today I also hope to get some Yoga in and a bit of weight training to go with it. Each day my goal is to work towards less stress, better health; and a happier day.

I’ve made a few changes over the last couple of days to help me to have less stress. Over the years we’ve always cut back on the use of other sites, this includes other social media sites. We did this due to social media sites like Facebook that never brought any value to our lives. We even stopped using Twitch for mainly the same reason however Twitch for us was sort of fun for us when it came to spending time with the people who actually support us. Now the amount of people on Twitch that support what we do is less than 0.0009 % however, Annika and I love to stream from time to time just to be doing it. We put a lot of time and money into making it to Affiliate and to see all of that go to waste is sad so we decided to keep our Twitch account and work toward getting more subscribers and streaming a few times here and there.

We also rejoined a few of the social network sites that we had left, we only joined them to better the reach of what we’re doing. Also, we rejoined Yelp. Yelp is well known for removing negative reviews on big companies to protect them, which makes them huge bucks; we hate Yelp for that reason. Yelp is also a great way for us to share good reviews on companies that really deserve it; it also helps us at the same time.

For a complete list of our links to other social sites and more look at our sidebar here on our website.

Some up and coming Projects

We have tons of things we want to accomplish in this lifetime and we’re always working on them one step at a time. One of the projects we want to do is make a sell our own Soap, Candles, and a few other things to go into our handmade goods. We’ve been doing the research and we hope to maybe have this project moving along after this year is over. 2019 has been one of the shittiest years in our entire life on the planet “shithole” lol. So we don’t have any interest in bringing out any of our new projects until this year is done.

Another project we have in the works is manufacturing our own merchandise such as shirts, stickers, and more. At the beginning of the year we were setting up shop however we all know what destroyed things at that point so this project got put on hold. This will also start getting into action in 2020.

Something to think about

If you dig what we’re doing, please share and tell your friends. We’re always doing something fun, this year has just sucked the life out of us. If you’re an Amazon Prime Member, you can go to our Twitch Channel and become a sub for FREE which helps us a lot. We also have a Ko-Fi page which you can send me a Water (it says coffee unless we pay for premium on Ko-Fi). Or consider becoming a Patreon. Any of this helps us to continue and to do more as each day comes. Subscribing and reading our articles helps us and means the world to us. Drop a comment, like our post, check out our YouTube Videos. Come play games with us like Pokemon Go, Overwatch, World of Warcraft; we play a lot of pc games and console games. Maybe consider being a Pen Pal?

Important Mentions:

We like to keep in mind daily that not only are we always focusing on riding our bikes long distance but also that many people we know or even do not know are out on the roads and trails traveling. So if you’re out on the road driving a car please be extra cautious and watch for cyclists who may be on the road with you day or night.

We are working on a project called #AZBIKEANDHIKE. Currently, we have a Strava Club set up for #AZBIKENHIKE‘s Cycling and Hiking. We’ve decided to merge this project and it’s website into our website since both are about hiking, and riding bikes in Arizona. Now you can see an item in our navigation menu to see more information. More to come as we get to that point.

The following friends that we know are currently crossing the United States by Bike:

  • Jason Simons – It’s Just Pepper Baby
    • Jason has been riding across the United States for a little over two months now, If you’d like to assist him with a meal or some extra funds for his trip, his PayPal email is Jason@itsjustpepperbaby.com
  • John Schweitzer – John’s Cross Country Blog
    • John has completed his cycling journey, see his website for information.
  • Stubbs Rambles On –  Be sure to check out Stubs and friends on their hiking and backpacking adventures.

  1. It is easy to get into the habit of being insufficiently hydrated, and hard to get out of it. That probably is the problem giving migraines etc.
