Wow, things have been changing and busy. Over the last few days Annika and I have been working on rearranging our Office and Living Room; it’s looking much better with the new sliding doors we’ve added to the partition. A little bit of trim and then touch-ups for looks and it’ll be done.
Let’s Recap a Bit
We’ve been working on goals and getting my health back in order. The migraines are milder now and today I go to see my dentist about my toothache, so one problem getting taken care of, my dentist rocks. Annika made an appointment for the results on my MRI and MRA which my doctor had forgotten to do for us, what a bunch of slack doctors at the doctors’ offices. It seems that the Yoga and stretch exercises have been helping with the sore muscles so that the problem looks to be nipped in the butt. Now we’ve just got to get to the bottom of the migraines and the stroke signs.
Something I found out this weekend about the medications my doctor gave me for emergency migraines control totally blew my mind. So, we’re trying to find out what’s with these strokes or heart attack symptoms, so why did my dumb ass doctor give me medications that cause cardiac issues? I won’t be taking the emergency medications at all now, I’m picking up some 800mg Ibruprofrin and hoping for the best, so far one here and there have done the trick as Excedrine Migraine Meds do not work at all.
As soon as the migraines chill, I will be back on my bike as much as possible.
The Adventure’s of Pugsley and Lilith
Pugsley is currently still in the #1 place for the state of Arizona in the dog pageant with almost 1200 votes and they have 9 more hours left. If you get the time swing by the page and give him a vote by clicking here. You can vote 10 times a day, one vote every 10 minutes for free, huge thanks for the votes so far.
Aside from the dog Pageant, Pugsley and Lilith are doing very well. Lilith has been chewing on a drywall spot in our kitchen so we’re training her to not do that. Pugsley has been getting much better with “No Bark”. He has been going for long walks a few times a day to get him ready for hiking which is coming up very soon.
Cycling, Hiking, Running, and Fitness
In Cycling – I miss riding my bike so badly! Given how things have been going with my health we felt it best to chill a moment while we got it all resolved. The downtime has been wonderful though sad as well since all we think about is riding our bikes. Tomorrow, on the other hand, we will be back on Peloton doing our morning workouts. As soon as I can ride without getting sick, passing out, puking, or having excruciating pains in my chest, head, shoulder, back, and neck; I will be back to riding for long hours.
In Hiking – Annika and I are soon to be doing some hiking in Sedona, Cottonwood, and Jerome. We have some vacation time coming and have reserved some time and a room that is pet-friendly so that we can take Pugsley with us. Pugsley has one more shot and he is good to go hiking all the time and the weather has been getting cooler. More on our trip below in the entertainment section.
Entertainment and Out on the town
In Movies – Lately, we’ve been able to see a couple of good movies during this downtime and after the rearranging. We checked out “Men in Black: International (2019)” which we give 6/10 stars or 3/5 stars. The movie was entertaining and as good as all of the others before it. It has the same ole comedy style and the cast was fun.
Another film we got to check out was “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019)” and we loved it for the most part. We do think that Halle Berry was a back pick for a cast member however they dropped her very quickly in the story. 9/10 stars or 4.5/5 stars, a very well done 3 chapter of John Wick.
In Television – Annika and I have been enjoying checking out the TV Series “Dark” again, we’ve also started watching the latest season of “Orange Is the New Black“. Pugsley and I have been watching “Jessica Jones before bedtime each night and have been thoroughly enjoying it.
In Gaming – It’s been a grind playing Overwatch however being it Summer and the weekend the shitty players were certainly afoot. It’s funny how ya always know the cheaters are playing and the age group of which ones they are. The best time to play Overwatch is not on the weekend and never when the youth is out of school for spring break or summer, or it becomes the most toxic game on the planet.
Annika and I are trying to grind for the new Summer skins every chance we can and also during each week they’re several matches that we have to win for special skins.
In Travel – We’re getting ready to take a vacation! Our anniversary in January was ruined by visitors so we had to pick up the pieces and make it till we had some vacation time built up. Annika and I are finally able to head up to Sedona, Jerome, and Cottonwood. We’re taking Pugsley with us to do some hiking while we visit all three cities. We love Jerome and Sedona very much for its beauty and cannot wait to go.
Today is our last day off together for the week so we’re chilling. I’ve got a dentist appointment, we need to wash the car, and Pugsley needs his nails trimmed; after that, it’s game on. Movies, TV time, PC Gaming on Overwatch; heck maybe even mud wrestling who knows. Whatever we do, it’ll be awesome to enjoy time together.
Time for Coffee
Alright, gang, You know the drill. Coffee, water and Uncrustables time. Have an epic adventure day. Also a special note, we’ve updated some of the information below and even added to it.
“You’ve reached the end of today’s story”
We like to keep in mind daily that not only are we always focusing on riding our bikes long distance but also that many people we know or even do not know are out on the roads and trails traveling. So if you’re out on the road driving a car please be extra cautious and watch for cyclists who may be on the road with you day or night.
We are working on a project called #AZBIKEANDHIKE. Currently, we have a Strava Club set up for #AZBIKENHIKE‘s Cycling and Hiking. We’ve decided to merge this project and it’s website into our website since both are about hiking, and riding bikes in Arizona. Now you can see an item in our navigation menu to see more information. More to come as we get to that point.
