In starting this morning, I am still awake from yesterday. My migraine kept me stressed out and it was very difficult to consider sleeping; so I’m up and still going.
Let’s Recap a Bit
Yesterday was typical with a few things different. Lilith set the day off pretty badly and the day ended with Pugsley biting me when he was trying to grab his treat. All in all, yesterday wasn’t so good but we made it through it and we’ve certainly had worse days through this year.
A lot of my yesterday was doing some digging into that Dog Pageant website, well all of their sites. It looks as if what took place yesterday happens all the time, it’s how they make money by burning the actual users. For example, so many people create fake animal entries to get awards which are a number of votes that they can apply to the one they need to win. The fake profile that won yesterday for the state of Arizona was created yesterday and after it won, the brand new contest started and that profile had over 3k votes with a ton of spam all over it of people saying vote swap, etc. I wrote the people who own and operate the website and they haven’t replied. They hid my comment from the public that points out what they did, only I can see it.
The Adventure’s of Pugsley and Lilith (update on the pageant)
What we’re taking from what that ripoff site did was, why not work harder to fully expose the sites for what it is. We decided to push for voting to stay on top with real votes and win again for them to land that fake account as the winner one more time. Here is a screenshot, you can click on it to see the fake account isn’t even in Arizona contest.
I just looked over the top number winners and if you look down the comments, most of the people commenting even say in their comments how they’re scamming it with multiple accounts and more.
Now aside from the Pageant where you can vote for Pugsley 10 times a day for free, Pugsley is starting to bark a lot more. Now that he has a voice he is very vocal about it. He is also starting as of this morning growling more at Lilith. Training these two is difficult due to how Lilith has been when trying to work with Pugsley so it’s very trying. So if anyone has any good tips on teaching Pugsley to “Stop Barking” we’d love to hear them. Keep in mind that in that equation there is a kitten that jumps into the mix in almost everything thing.
Cycling, Hiking, Running, and Fitness
This morning Annika started her day with a nice Pelton bike ride and some weight training. I got to get a few workouts on the Peloton bike as well. I rode 20 miles worth of scenic rides, did a Yoga class, and then I did some arm stretches and toning. Pretty nice workout knocked out quick and simple like. I was hoping to go for a bike ride outside however between my migraines and several other items in the way; it’s getting difficult to schedule time to go outside without running into issues or hurdles.
On the upside, I do plan to go for an adventure bike ride on Sunday for Century Sundays. Sick or not, migraine or not; I’m going to try and ride a century on this coming Sunday. Annika will be at home with the munchkins so I will have a little freedom to get out and enjoy some time on my bike.
As for running or walking, Annika and I have been taking Pugsley for some good walks each day. He has a really cool water bottle that has a trough attached to it. This makes for a simple turn down and squeeze technique that fills the trough with water for Pugsley in seconds. We are planning to do more running and walking with him once we have boots or pads for him. We tried to get boots but his legs are too short.
Entertainment and Out on the town
In Television – Pugsley and I finished Jessica Jones and started watching Daredevil TV Series. Annika and I started watching “The Boys (2019)” TV Series last night. This morning I started watching “Breaking Bad” from the beginning, again. I love “Breaking Bad”!
In Gaming – On the gaming side of things, I may do a little bit of Overwatch this morning. I’ve not decided if I’m going to stream it or not as I’m starting to get very tired right now. If you’re a follower on our Twitch Channel, watch for notifications for our live times.
Today the plan is to get through the day with less stress and hope the migraines go away. Maybe after a nap, I’ll have more of a plan, currently, it’s just chill a bit since most of my day’s tasks are done already since I didn’t sleep last night.
Time for Coffee
Alright, gang, You know the drill. Coffee, water and Uncrustables time. Have an epic adventure day. Also a special note, we’ve updated some of the information below and even added to it.
“You’ve reached the end of today’s story”
We like to keep in mind daily that not only are we always focusing on riding our bikes long distance but also that many people we know or even do not know are out on the roads and trails traveling. So if you’re out on the road driving a car please be extra cautious and watch for cyclists who may be on the road with you day or night.
We are working on a project called #AZBIKEANDHIKE. Currently, we have a Strava Club set up for #AZBIKENHIKE‘s Cycling and Hiking. We’ve decided to merge this project and it’s website into our website since both are about hiking, and riding bikes in Arizona. Now you can see an item in our navigation menu to see more information. More to come as we get to that point.
